we have been talking about going to the cabin in big bear for months now -- i can't believe it has already come and gone. our goal was to relax. like really really relax. and that is exactly what we did. we cooked almost every meal {recipes below}, caught up on homeland, went sledding {did not end well for me}, and did a little teeny hike that lead us to an amazing view of the lake. we had the fireplace running for about 2 days straight, and even snuck in a massage in town.

thank you so much to my fave guy CP for letting us lodge here for a few nights. i had such a great time in this cozy little spot. Chili {we had to swap bison for turkey}  French Toast + Berries and Bacon Braised Beef Short Ribs {beware, these take a freakin long time to make}.
