after a 9 hour drive back to sf {whew} -- we did a swan dive into the holiday weekend and were greeted by our NYE visitors from san diego and chicago. we had a fun night out in the city, which was followed by taking our visitors over the golden gate for some nature activities.
 

for those of you who have not been to tourist club, i highly recommend you go asap. it is so much fun to pack a lunch {our favorite picnic essentials are from here}, hike into the middle of muir woods, and order a pitcher of beer. we arrived 15 minutes before they opened to ensure we got a great table -- perfect for playing apples to apples while enjoying the view. we spent most of our day here, followed by a stop at pelican inn, and sunset on muir beach. i really love days like these.
