for my bday we took a 'surprise' trip to new orleans – what a fun time we had exploring this charming city. after a quick breakfast at elizabeth st cafe and a short hour on southwest we had arrived! we spent our first day settling into our ultra-cozy airbnb and exploring our little neighborhood {the bywater}, and were immediately blown away by the food, culture, music, and perfect weather this town has to offer.

some highlights  from friday include: cochon butcher for an obvious muffaletta, napoleon house for pimms, markey's bar, oxalis {a local spot for dinner recommended by some cute gentlemen we met earlier in the day}, and of course a night on bourbon street with drinks @ blacksmith shop, live music, and a few other weird little stops {you can't... not}
