weather up is one of my favorite places for cocktails in austin – happy hour, late night, or anywhere in between. they have creative and delicious craft cocktails {with a menu that is often changing with the season}, and their patio is so perfect. no frills, just an awesome place always. cheers!
Austin Bars
jazz brunch
Commentone of my most favorite places to grab a drink (or 3) in austin is hotel san jose {owned by the same gal that created this awesome spot}. the patio is always amazing day or night – rain or shine / the champassion {champagne + passion fruit juice} goes down almost too easily, and they often have live music. last weekend we attended their jazz brunch and i could have sat there for hours ...
try it tuesday {PATRIZI'S}
Commentup on a sketchy side street off manor road is a little food truck + bar combo that is so delicious and perfect. the live music and festive decor makes for such a fun atmosphere to enjoy some of the best italian food in austin – we ordered two simple pastas, meatballs, the house salad, and garlic bread – and of course left feeling plump and happy. we loved it so much that we're going back tonight with some friends – i highly recommend! cheers.
try it tuesday: PLEASANT storage room
Commentpleasant storage room is climbing the list as one of our favorites in austin because of it's vibrantly fun atmosphere and delicious food/cocktails – order the "cubano"drink and the cuban sandwich and i swear you will not be disappointed. and if you're looking for more, pair this up with seeing chef at violet crown and it'll be the perfect little austin night out.
east side saturday
Commentlast weekend we popped into the event i mentioned on friday – i loved browsing and learning about loads of cool american-made brands. afterwards we figured it was probably best to hang on the east side for the rest of the night: we watched the world cup at bar 96 , had an amazingly lo{oooo}ng dinner at one of my favorites; justines, and finished the evening with drinks on the warm back patio of weather up.
