liz lambert is really just a badass. the spaces she has created here in texas are truly one of a kind, and i find myself wanting to pick her brain more and more. after our amazing experience at hotel havana, and our countless evenings spent @ hotel san jose we were inspired to visit el cosmico in marfa. this trip won't happen until november– but i already can't wait!
how cool is this place? ever since my obsession with eternal sunshine of the spotless mind – i've wanted to go to montauk. i don't know much about the little beach town other than it's small, cozy, and often gets rather cold in the winter time. i recently learned about the surf lodge by way of kp's surfer brain and am now even more excited to visit one day.

right before we moved to austin we took a trip to oakland and visited umami mart, an amazing barware store that imports everything from japan. it's one of those places that makes you want to replace everything in your kitchen asap. {they now have a shop in SF's nova neighborhood, too!} because we were moving, and we knew we "needed" a fancy bar area to entertain folks in our new home, it was the obvious choice to invest in some of their awesome stuff via their website when we got to texas. i'm so happy we did.
i've never been to nashville – but i'd love to sometime soon. especially now that we live in texas! we're so much closer. a few months ago kp was there for work and came across imogene + willie where he had a pair of "perfect" jeans made for him. personally, i'd like to check out all of their one of a kind items. this spot {clothing store / denim shop / vintage boutique} has a really cool story that i think is best told by them – found here. happy friday!
the other day i was browsing and came across will leather goods – i was immediately drawn to the leather + patterned combo {similar to these bags – kind of} . i'm sure i'll dig up a reason to make a purchase here very soon ... happy friday!
