Life on Pine

a day alone at the de young museum

visiting museums alone is highly underrated.

i recently went for a visit to the de young museum [i cannot believe i had not been here yet] tucked in one of my favorite places, golden gate park. it was such a treat to have the day to myself, wandering the hallways full of artwork with the freedom to stop and look at whatever piece stood out to me. including the oscar de la renta exibit and the hamon observation tower. i left with a completely new appreciation for fashion design and the work de la renta put into his pieces. the red carpet room was my favorite [this, thisthis and this dress in real life were insane].  i can't wait to get back and explore the areas of the museum that i wasn't able to make it to during this visit [like the african and textile art collections].
