Life on Pine

24 hours in san antonio

this weekend we spent an evening in san antonio and i honestly can't wait to get back. some highlights / must dos if you're ever in the area include:

stay @ hotel havana – one of liz lambert's boutique hotels – you'll immediately feel like you're on vacation. the decor / music / vibes make your mind think this is out the window, not downtown SA. the bar downstairs, ocho, is along the riverwalk {the pretty, not-crazy, part of the riverwalk} and is known for their tasty tequila or rum cocktails. we leisurely drank here until dinner time...

grab dinner @ hot joy. {featured on bon appetit's list of top new restaurants} – the crab-fat caramel wings, lamb noodles, migas fried rice, and tiger salad are mind bogglingly good drinks barbaro while you wait for a table – a sister restaurant to hot joy with awesome craft cocktails

breakfast in bed @ havana – the food here is GOOD and the cuban coffee will get you jazzed up for whatever the rest of your day holds. the plantain pancakes were so unique and tasty and i contemplated stealing the hotel robes

the alamo – it's a historic tourist trap with $10 parking, but kp is from california and needed a little texas history in his life

cheers!
