falcon point ranch in seadrift

i can't believe our houston + ranch trip has come and gone. this is something we had all been looking forward to for months – and i'm so grateful we were all able to make it to one of our favorite places before kp and i moved back to CA. it was the perfect combo of things to celebrate, too: our dear friends were getting married in houston {more photos from that later}, i was turning 27, our besties E + D were in town from NYC, and so much more.

the falcon point weekend {in a nut shell} was spent fishing, shooting, drinking, swimming, laughing, crab catching, crab eating, more fishing, and a whole lot of love. thank you so much to elizabeth for having us at the most magical place.

this passed weekend we had visitors from all over gather together in boerne for a second thanksgiving + pre-christmas celebration and it was lovely. the weekend was filled with great food, baby time, relaxing, relaxing, and more relaxing.

after our little SA getaway we headed 30 miles west to visit the butts / cox families in boerne {bur-nee}... our last trip here was for thanksgivingit is so beautiful and green and secluded out there and we had so much fun playing corn hole, catching sun in the perfect little pool, and sharing a few very delicious home-cooked meals with great people. and next time we see them, a little baby boy will be part of the party. can't. wait.

^^ max has turned me into a cat person.

he is the snuggliest cutest funnest little kitty in the whole world

texas holiday: ranching in blanco

Kate ParrishComment

on the morning of 4th of july we were watching the world cup plan-less. we had accepted our no-plans and were ok with the fact that our holiday might be spent swimming in a baby pool. last minute we were kindly invited to a dear friend's ranch out in blanco and ended up having the most epic weekend. friday was spent whipping up these cocktails, stopping for pepitos and sparklers, floatin, swimmin, fishin, grillin, and all those things people do on ranches. it was the perfect way to celebrate our wonderful country.

perfect monday

sometimes taking that extra monday off is just the right thing to do. with acl being the entire weekend, we really wanted one more day to just enjoy austin and hang with the fam. the day was spent sleeping in, swimming, eating some of the best bbq in texas, enjoying beautiful austin views, taking a <much needed> nap, espresso on the patio, and dinner + a movie. ahhh. the perfect way to end our weekend. back to reality -- happy thursday people!
